2020 RACE IS CANCELED Dear Runners! Dear Friends! Dear Citizens of Georgia and Batumi! As you can see from the media, COVID-19 (Corona Virus) is currently dominating our world. There are many cases worldwide and the development is very dynamic and therefore not really predictable. In Georgia, the virus seems to be taking hold, albeit in a moderate form. After many running events were canceled worldwide and we are expecting many international guests for our race, we discussed in detail in our team a cancellation based on the facts available. We have decided to cancel the race for 2020 without replacement. We are following a recommendation from the Georgian Inter-Agency Coordination Council, which recommends that citizens avoid mass events for the time being: http://bit.ly/332wkIx We are fully aware of the responsibility for our runners and will act accordingly. We are also responsible for the citizens of Georgia and Batumi, for our volunteers, for the organizational team and their families. We should be aware that we are expecting guests from the crisis areas of China, Iran and Italy. These guests show a sense of responsibility and have already voluntarily canceled their participation in the race and the AIMS congress. As organizers, our aim is to offer all participants, including our numerous foreign guests, and the spectators and residents of Batumi an unforgettable, high-quality, carefree experience. And that is unfortunately not possible under the current circumstances. We guarantee all runners previously registered a free starting place for the next race.
